Floor Preparation

For a liquid screed to be installed successfully the correct preparation is essential. Monster Mix is able to offer all of the following within any quotation.

DPM – A plastic membrane must be installed to prevent contact with existing flooring or installation to prevent a reaction occurring. This must be lapped up the walls to create a ‘swimming pool’ effect.

Perimeter strip – A 5/10mm perimeter strip must be installed around all walls to the full depth of the screed. This is to cushion the screed to prevent cracking.

Joints – All joints need to be taped and upturns fixed at 150mm above screed levels.
